David Poncio, B.Sc.Arch., AT
Architectural Technologist
One day in high school, Dave picked up a thick hard bound book from the school library and was intrigued by everything from ancient Greek and Roman temples to beautiful Cathedrals in the Middle Ages that ignited a spark that would eventually take him on a journey through architecture school and solidify his path in A/E/C. That book was Sir Bannister Fletcher’s A History of Architecture.
David began his architecture career 12 years ago while acquiring his registered architect certificate in the Philippines. With over a decade of industry experience, including two years in the Lower Mainland, David's journey in architecture has been a diverse one. He began working in Canada in 2021 and since then worked on various residential, commercial, cultural, and institutional projects.
Some of David’s notable projects include the FedEx Ground facility in Nanaimo, B.C and the BC Housing Apartments and Townhouses Project in Prince Rupert, B.C. He's also contributed to projects like the Logel Sage Townhouses in Alberta. David has experience in site supervision, 3D modeling, and a strong background producing architectural drawings in all project stages. From David’s global experience in the industry he is able to offer valuable insights on unique challenges and opportunities that arise in architecture. This has made David stronger at navigating obstacles, and shows his commitment to delivering high-quality work.
