West Hillhurst 3/3
West Hullhurst 3/3 is a three unit plus three suite rowhouse building designed for RNDSQR in Calgary’s West Hillhurst neighbourhood.
The site was unusually narrow for the neighbourhood. A typical parcel at 15.24m wide would normally fit four row house units, but this one at 12.8m made it a challenge to fit three units. The requirement for basement suites complete with amenity spaces at the front further narrowed the units. By providing the amenity space on the roof, this allowed us to push the units close to the east property line, and use the site as effectively as possible.
Three enclosed parking stalls are provided on the lane, and the project achieved a density over over 118 UPH.
