Richmond 8
Richmond 8 is a two-building townhouse development situated in the Calgary neighbourhood of Richmond. This project has eight units, divided into two buildings with four units per building. It is located on relatively busy 26th AV SW, which is a location in the community where residents are open to modest increases in density.
This project is clad with stucco and Hardie panel. It features units ranging from 1980 to 2075 square feet in the front and 1831 square feet in the rear. The front townhomes have three bedrooms per unit, while the rear townhomes have four. Due to the depth and shape of this parcel of land, we were able to fit eight homes on one standard-sized city lot with parking backing onto the lane at the rear. The rear townhomes are one storey lower than the front townhomes, adapting to the slope of the site which is higher at the street and lower at the lane.
The front row of homes has a loft and double-master layout. Additionally, both sets of the townhomes feature an open-plan main floor including a kitchen, dining and living spaces. Each unit also has private outdoor patio spaces.
The construction drawings are underway, with construction starting later in 2022.
