Karley Jackshaw
Marketing Coordinator

A lover of writing, Karley has a keen eye for the nuances of language, finding even the technical details of communication poetic. This appreciation for writing is largely due to her extensive time spent traveling. Karley has explored over 25 countries, immersing herself in various cultures and gaining a profound understanding of global perspectives. With a deep appreciation of communication from these experiences and an ability to thrive in new environments, Karley knew she wanted to pursue academia as her next adventure.

Karley joined Gravity in November 2023. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Communications degree at the Mount Royal University, majoring in Public Relations with a minor in Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Since beginning her studies, she has made president's honour roll and earned various scholarships for her academic achievements.

In her third year, Karley was one of just eight students selected for Mount Royal University’s Launchpad Lab program—a program that is part of the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship. This opportunity allowed her to develop her own innovative business idea, culminating in a final pitch. It was through experiences like this that Karley developed confidence in business development, marketing coordination, and communications. She has a passion for storytelling and understands the value of strategic communication for organizations.

Karley is eager to identify unsolved problems to devise solutions that can make a significant impact. This aligns with Gravity's values, as we prioritize fresh perspectives and the ability to identify opportunities and adapt to the evolving field of architecture.

Prior to working at Gravity, Karley has had an appreciation for architecture as her and her partner would find themselves admiring impressive structures around Calgary, Vancouver and other cities around the world. In her free time she loves to start new projects around the house—always busy re-configuring a living room or painting cabinets. Her partner and her recently purchased a 1979 camper van, which she looks forward to taking on the road this summer!
