Principal
Jim is a registered architect with over 20 years of professional design and management experience and is the Principal of Gravity Architecture in Vancouver. Jim has played a key role in the design and planning of commercial, residential, industrial, institutional and retail projects throughout North America and takes pride in his ability to drive projects through all phases of design and documentation.
After graduating with a Bachelors degree in Architecture from Lawrence Tech University in Southfield, Michigan. Jim has practiced architecture in Michigan, Ontario, California and British Columbia. The bulk of his career has been spent in the lower mainland of British Columbia where he has years of experience guiding projects through the various municipal development and planning processes, including rezoning, development permits and historic area planning committees.
Jim approaches each project as a new challenge, bringing an enthusiastic and positive attitude that permeates the entire design team. As a LEED AP Jim values sustainability and conservation in design, believing that good design involves the efficient use of materials and forms that lend themselves to timeless and thought-provoking architecture.
Jim is also on the board of the White Rock Design Panel where he utilizes his experience to help shape a better community.
