Seton Net Zero Townhomes

This residential development is nestled in Calgary’s southeast Seton community and includes a mixed-use project, as well as these 36 units spread across four townhomes, each designed to meet Net Zero energy standards.

The modular stacked configuration of these townhomes incorporates solar capture on the roof and utilizes heat pumps, eliminating the need for a gas supply to the project. All upper stacked units aim to achieve net-zero energy efficiency, while the lower units are net zero ready.

To meet the growing demand for housing quickly, we've opted for prefabricated components, ensuring a faster construction process. These components are assembled off-site, complete with all finishings, and transported for installation. From framing and flooring to cabinets and plumbing, everything is pre-installed and ready for connection upon arrival at the site.

Both unit types offer modern conveniences such as in-suite laundry and private outdoor spaces. The lower units have two bedrooms with just over 600 ft², while the upper units provide three bedrooms just over 1200 ft².

The exterior design uses a slight push/pull effect with the light cladding colour by pushing away from the massing of the building as well as pushing upwards at the parapets. The cladding on this project is primarily sustainable cladding by use of light and dark engineered wood panels and a complementary dark brick base.

We have a time lapse video showcasing the exciting beginning to this project’s modular construction process!
